Network Report

A single summary of your connection that you can hand to IT support — your address, your provider, your browser, and how quickly this site responds. Built in your browser and never sent to us.

Run the check

This sends about ten very small requests to the MyIPKit edge and measures how long each round trip takes. It takes a couple of seconds and uses almost no data.

What this report is, and is not

It records what your browser and our edge can observe about your connection at one moment in time. It is useful for answering “what am I connecting from, and is the connection responsive?”.

It is not a speed test, and it does not measure latency to anywhere except MyIPKit. If a support agent needs your download speed or your latency to a specific game or video service, this report will not answer that.

What is measured

Your connection

The public IP address our edge observed for your request, the network operator that announces it, and the approximate area that address is registered to. Only the address used for this request is shown — a single request cannot reveal both your IPv4 and IPv6 address. The dual-stack test is the honest way to learn both.

Your browser and device

Values your browser makes available through standard APIs: browser and operating system, language, time zone, screen and window size, cookie support and privacy signals. These are read for display only. They are not combined into a fingerprint and not stored.

HTTP latency

Roughly ten tiny requests to a MyIPKit endpoint, timed in the browser. The report shows the fastest, the median and the 95th percentile, plus a simple jitter figure — the mean variation between consecutive requests. The median tells you what is typical; the gap between median and 95th percentile tells you how consistent the connection is.

This is not an ICMP ping. Many networks treat ICMP differently from ordinary web traffic, so the numbers will not match a command-line ping. The local checks page has the real thing.

Privacy

  • The report is assembled in your browser from data already on this page.
  • It is never sent to MyIPKit, never written to a database and never given a share link.
  • Copying and downloading happen entirely on your device.
  • Closing or reloading this page discards the report. There is nothing to delete afterwards.
  • If you would rather not share your exact address, switch on masking before you copy or download.

Sending this to support

Copy summary gives five or six lines suitable for a chat message. Copy JSON and the download buttons give the full detail, which is better for an email or a ticket attachment. Whatever you choose, the masking toggle applies.
