Wi-Fi QR code generator

Make a code that joins your Wi-Fi when a phone camera scans it — for a meeting room, a shop counter or the fridge door. It is drawn on this page, so the password never leaves your browser.

Se ejecuta por completo en tu navegador: no se envía nada a ningún sitio

The code is drawn on this page. Nothing you type is sent anywhere or saved.

Good practice

  • Use a guest network for codes on display, so visitors never share a network with your own devices.
  • Change the guest password now and then, and print a new code.
  • Test the printed code with two different phones before putting it up.

Which phones can scan it?

The built-in camera on iPhones (iOS 11 and later) and on Android phones (Android 10 and later, and many earlier with a scanner app).

Is my password safe here?

It never leaves your browser: the code is generated and drawn on this page, and nothing is stored. The code itself, though, contains the password in plain text for anyone who scans it.

My network uses WPA3. Which option do I choose?

WPA / WPA2 / WPA3. Phones read the password from the code and negotiate the security type themselves.

Can I use the code commercially?

Yes. The QR format is free to use; the name “QR Code” is a trademark of DENSO WAVE.
